Download ShellEXView from Nirsoft and inspect the context menu entries. Have you modified the Explorer shell in any way or Windows 7 in any way?

No that I am aware of,
Its only happening when when I access my eternal hard drive. I did research and discovered that I am not the only one with this issue. Its frustrating. the only thing I did was remove old movie files, created a new folder in the drive and started to move and organize things...I also got rid of unneeded programs but made sure they were non essential...I defragged, checked drivers etc...I'm stumped....

Using "Windows Explorer" (explorer.exe) to move many large files (over 10 gig) or moving/copying a lot of data more than 200gig explorer.exe can crash. It does not matter if it you are using Windows XP, Vista or 7 it will do it in all version. The issue seems to be the MS never thought of that amount of data for explorer.exe to handle the 15 years ago it was created. When I do file transfers of large size or a large disk I use a 3rd party explorer or a file sync program. Always works.

www.scootersoftware.com has a great utility for doing file moves or copying.
