Windows 7 wont update (error 8008005)

Hi, this problem has been going on for about a year now, it started with there being 2 or 3 updates that would not appear to install, every time I checked for updates the same updates were always there. over the months I have tried various different things I have read on the internet. Im now at the stage where windows wont find any updates & I get this error code 8008005.
I have tried the sfc /scannow thing that wont but im getting the windows could not start the repair service message. the windows module installer is set to manual but when I press start I get error 126: the specific module could not be found.
I have also tried to install the CBS zip folder but it says the file size is too large (10.9mb).
I don't know where to go from here, Please help me.

if you delete the oldest CBSPersist files from the compressed folder, you should be ablt to get it below 8MB and upload it.

Like London busses - never see them for months and then get two at once!
Unfortunately this is not good news :(
The probability is that there is a huge section of your registry missing.
Your only realistic option is going to be a clean install :( (repair installs almost always fail with this type of error)
