I installed a new partition for windows 8 because I wanted to try something, I got it installed along side of windows 7, I didn't like the way windows 8 would boot first then ask me what OS I wanted to use so I made my other partition back to primary and uninstalled windows 8. That is where the problem started, now when I start up my computer it still tries to boot into windows 8 but then wants me to press F9 to use an alternate Operating System or use other "F" keys to use multiple repair options to repair win8. How do I make it so it only boots to windows 7 again?

Also I have completely merged the win8 partition back with the main hard drive using the "extend drive" function.

The drive labeled "Darkdrive" is just an external hard drive.

Never have another drive connected when you do an OS install, Startup Repair or try to resolve boot issues. Unplug it now.

Next, the only way to correctly delete an OS is to delete its partition in Disk Mgmt. Did you do this before you extended the partition? Did you extend the old Win8 partition into Win7 partition or vice versa?

What disk do you have in drive as you clearly have one there in the video? If it's Win8 disk it could be interfering.

I would boot into Win7 disk to run Startup Repair - Run up to 3 Separate Times as you have 8 boot code interfering and 8 boot files onboard. Do you know where the 8 files are located now? They should have been deleted when you deleted the Windows 8 partition, so did you do that? There is no other way to delete an OS correctly.

What OS was installed on Disk 1 since we can see it had a System Reserved partition? Did you delete the OS partition before reformatting it as a data partition? If not it may be interfering as well. To clear boot code on an old OS HD one can wipe it with Diskpart Clean Command.

If Startup Repair doesn't help then do the manual Rebuild BCD commands Theog gave you which are already automated in Startup Repair.

I fixed it finally! jeez, this has been an all day project, I only installed win8 to try one thing out on it and it screwed me for 9 hours, that will be the last time I do that, I fixed it by using "easybcd" and just using most (if not all) the options available.
thanks a lot everyone.

Good news

Better let us see another screenshot to make sure DISK0 System Active is still marked Statem Active.

It boots every time without problems now

I used the window repair originally and the bcedit commands to try and get it but they didn't work.

That's why I said to run Startup Repair from disk.

But it has nothing to do with my question. What I'm asking you now is if you have Repair on F8 menu.
