Hello ! I have the following problem - when I overclock my CPU w/ AMD OverDrive from 3.6 to 3.8 / 4.0 ,Windows Aero shuts down ! I really like Aero, but I like when my CPU runs at 3.8/4.0 GHz aswell...I troubleshooted the Aero issue,it didn't fix it,I also typed in the ''net stop / start uxsms" command in CMD,but it didn't change...

Hi bud,

I would not recommend overclocking your CPU using AMD overdrive, if you want to run a nice proper overclock 24/7 then your should use the bios. Do a search for your CPU and overclocking guides on google.
I don't know why it's causing the issue, but often programs and features of Windows stop working if an overclock is not right, i.e not enough voltage etc.

Paul.
