Solved Windows Aero not applying

So I just installed Windows 7 from this thread: Trying to install Windows 7 x64 on my Lenovo ThinkPad L460

And I just wanted to use Windows Aero however the theme doesn't actually apply.

I ran the troubleshooter but it said that my graphics card isn't compatible with Aero.

But I had a Windows 7 VM and I enabled Aero just fine on the same computer without any issues.

I have updated my graphics drivers to the latest version and it still doesn't work.

Any tips or tricks?

You tried these exact steps? Guided Help: Troubleshoot Aero problems in Windows 7

Go to Windows search, enter cmd. Right click command prompt and run as Admin. Enter:

net stop uxsms

then press enter.

Then

net start uxsms

and hit enter.

I created a batch fie that will do those commands automatically. Run the batch file as Admin. Which means you right click the batch file and run as Admin.

Absolutely nothing happened when I tried it.

Any more tips?
