Today was the first day I believe I experienced this. I installed the update on Tuesday and I do not believe I had an issue with it yesterday. It did do some registry changes but that is it. This morning I boot up the pc, and I get brought to the boot manager. I tried it again twice within the last 20 minutes. Same thing. This is the first time this has happened. Anyone else having any problems with the update? Any suggestions?

Ok. Open an elevated command prompt, type bcdedit, press Enter, and copy and paste the results here to see what it says. :)

For now, go ahead and set your default OS to run at startup with the timeout still set to zero to see if that may help.

This all started after I updated for IE10 on Tuesday. I am tempted to uninstall the update because I do not use IE10.

Thats what I get when I do the bcdedit. The default os at startup is 7

I suppose you may have just not applied it before closing the window. It's easy to do by mistake. :)

How's it doing now?

So I set it for 0 seconds, still getting the Boot manager. I am really beginning to think this previous update screwed something up. I verified it, and it is 0 seconds.

What does your "Startup and Recovery" settings look like?

Under "System Startup", both should be unchecked, and the OS you want to run at startup selected.

Both are unchecked and Windows 7 is defaulted. I am really beginning to think it has something to do with this update. Going to try and uninstall it.

Startup Repair did nothing. Though I think I found my problem. For some reason I can not capitalize my "x" key with the right shift key. I wonder if something is going on with the keyboard. When I unplugged the keyboard it seems to not bring up the boot manager.
