That's because your problem is dns lookups.
Have you restarted your computer?

What's your output from "nslookup" then "google.se"

I've restarted more times than I can count at this point yeah. Just did it right now, no changes.

nslookup gives me the following.
"Default Server: google-public-dns-a.google.com"
"Address: 8.8.8.8"

Just typing google.se gives me this.

I'm afraid it does not work. :( Firefox still gets "Server not found" and IE can't load the page either.

Can you open c:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts with notepad and past everything here.

Try to turn off your firewall and a/v (don't forget to turn it on again). try
Install virtualbox and make a windows 7 machine using hosted network and try to connect. If this not work I don't know :/
The last thing would be a clean install of windows 7 :/

I hope someone can find an other solution for this problem.

Well just did a complete re-install of 7 and everything seems to be work perfectly. Thanks for all of your help everyone, even though I wasn't able to resolve the issue without going nuclear I do appreciate it.
