Windows Cannot Connect

Every so often, it seems after I clean-up my history and temp. internet files I get the following error: Windows cannot connect to server. See attached for picture. Usually, I would solve it through a reboot, but lately my computer won't shut down it will just load. If I manually shut it down, reboot in safe mode, it offered a fix, but this time nothing is working. Refer to the taskbar for the basis of the error, I could not get the little blob of info that pops up it states "could not connect to windows server view event log as administrator for more details."

See attached for the the error that comes up, excuse the double post and the poor paint picture had to remove some info and in a rush.

Sorry for the delayed response this problem happens sporadically none of the solutions worked. Does any one else have suggestions?? Thanks

By sporadically do you mean that most of the time you CAN connect (or don't even notice you have a problem)?

Is there still a relationship between this problem and your disk cleaning? If so... what do you use (and how) to clean?

I do not think its related to my disk cleaning. However I use the Windows tool disk clean-up and have recently began using CClean for the registry. I have no idea what the cause of the problem is, it happens once and a while, however lately it seems more frequent.

I do not know if its related to disk clean-up, but I use the tool that comes with Windows entitled disk clean-up. For registry stuff I recently began using CClean, after the problem occured. I have found within the last week the problem occurs more often (unrelated to the use of the registry clean-up program). I still do not know what causes this problem...

The first thing to do is be sure it is not related to ccleaner. Have proven for yourself that after 1 week of no cleaning you would still have a problem?

The problem existed before I installed CCleaner, I installed it hoping it would fix the problem, which it did not

I thought it was linked to cleaning my internet history and temp. files with Internet Explorer.

Naah... can't be not if you used standard IE cleaning. Has to be something else. We'll think of something...
