I didn't really see a specific thread for things like processors, and decided this was the closest thing. Whenever I check for updates, even though I know that there isn't any, but maybe there is 1 I missed from a previous date before updates were stopped. Anyways, whenever I check for updates, I get a message saying something like... let me just send a picture.

Does this seriously mean I can't get updates because of my processor? of all things? If thats the case, is it possible to fix this? I get this message like every 10 mins and it gets annoying..

I would set the Windows Update to never check for updates, if you haven't already.

Nice find from Megahertz07.

That's an arbitrary limitation imposed by Microsoft to force everyone to downgrade to Windows 10. It effectively blocks based on your processor, even though there is nothing really that actually prevents you from running Windows 7 or those updates.
It all comes from the malicious updates KB4012218 and KB4012219, so try to uninstall those and try again (and block them afterwards to avoid being reinfected with them).

There is also a community patch that workarounds those ridiculous limitations:
GitHub - zeffy/wufuc: Disables the "Unsupported Hardware" message in Windows Update, and allows you to continue installing updates on Windows 7 and 8.1 systems with Intel Kaby Lake, AMD Ryzen, or other unsupported processors.

Quoting myself here, but is the reason my PC isn't smooth actually my processor? In that case instead of just bypassing updates is there some way to get windows to also be able to use my processor because it runs slowww without it.

Is the the CPU a AMD Ryzen 3 1200?

M$ will say this BS to force you to move to Win 10.
Unofficial Patch Unblocks Windows 7 and 8.1 Updates for Kaby Lake, Ryzen

To get all the Win 7 updates, follow this update steps

Oh dang. Even the update steps aren't working. I try to install and update, and it also scans with windows update. How do i bypass this too, since apparently turning off windows update checking for updates also doesn't solve this, and I'm still needing help installing that bypasser thingy.

I had that error on a new server. Unsupported hardware error | Windows 8 Help Forums At that time I uninstalled the recent updates I had done which resolved the issue. Since then I have avoided the rollups. They posted a patch in that thread I haven't tried it though.

Since you indicate you're not very good in the realm of technology, let me give you step by step instructions. Follow them one at a time and there should be no issue.

1) Go into the control panel | Programs and Features and in Programs and Features click View installed updates to the left.

2) Now you want to uninstall two (2) updates. The first being KB4012218, and the second being KB4012219. See how I bolded the last three numbers in the update version? Just run down the list looking for those last three numbers. When found verify the entire number and uninstall both.

3) In the start orb go to the search box and enter services.msc. In Services look for a service called Windows Update. Double click it. Select stop and select the start up type from the drop down to disabled. Hit OK. Now after steps 1-3 reboot the computer.

4) Go to the start orb and in the search box enter system. You'll see System Information and just system. You want just system. In the system window where it says system type under the windows experience index it'll say if your operating system is 64 or 32. If 64 download this. If 32 download this. Install it.

5) Now you can try updates again which in my opinion are solely not needed for reasons I won't get into. But you should mark KB4012218 and KB4012219 never to download and install ever again. Those are the two updates that caused this bullcrap CPU error from the begin with. But that WUFC patch will solve this.

Edit-

I just realized something. If you want updates you'll have to turn on the Windows update service I had you turn off. If you want any recent updates just turn it on temporally. The crap being tossed down the pipe now after Windows 7 is called "old" is just that: crap.

Windows won't run at all without the processor.

Hate to ask in this thread, but what does "smoothly" mean.

Oh, so it isn't that. Yeah this signature says a lot about me.

as for being smooth, I just meant randomly I would get lag spikes and anything. I tried games, web browsers, the entire desktop, and even the screensaver would kind of just randomly lag.

Dang these signatures today are spitting facts.

And ok. Once I get this fixed up and add more hate to Microsoft for trying to force this, I'll open a thread there.
