I've got a 1gb Pendrive, used to work.. but it spewed up 'Corrupt files' errors, and then finally gave up completely. It won't open, and asks to format it, I've tried every option it gives me but it won't format.. Supposedly, it's got 0 bytes of space, but on Disk management, it's 969MB RAW format, but it's a healthy primary partition. Formatting isn't doing anything, so.. It's pretty important! I need the USB to flash my BIOS, which will then unlock my CPU settings (It's a modded BIOS Btw.) so I can Overclock my E6300. So.. anyone help a guy out? :'(

Shit until I get my future build.
I personally wouldn't be using a drive that had problems for a bios update. You can get tiny flash drives in the check out line for like a couple of bucks. I would go get one of those.
If a bios update fails the computer will not even power on.
This is not something you want to use jinky equipment for.

Try diskpart's clean all command & then you'll be able to do the format.
I'd just go out & buy a new one, they're dirt cheap nowadays anyway.

I wouldn't define it as 'Jinky', as it worked seamlessly before, and it's multiple USB's that have this issue on my PC, I'll try your suggestion Reaper.

riiiiiiiight.. 'DiskPart has encountered an error: the request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.
See the System event log for more information'.

Already tried, same story. That's what I plan to use (if this gets fixed) to make it DOS bootable. I've got multiple reasons to update BIOS, Not just for OC'ing reasons, but for fixing purposes. Dual Channel won't work without an update, and my last update for BIOS was 5 years ago.. I'm in need of fixes.
