Hello - I have just installed windows 7 and really like the look of everything, very slick. However, I dont use a normal computer monitor. I view my PC via my 32" LCD HDTV. As such, I view the screen from about 6 or 7 feet away. Because of this I need to be able to increase the font sizes so that the are readable. Ive found a way to do this forcing custom DPI for fonts(this is the only way I could find so far) and it works great to increase the size, but them the window title bar is way too large and the taskbar is way too large. Ive been able to adjust the taskbar size by setting it to use small icons, but I still have another issue with it. when I am looking at any window that has OK/APPLY/CANCEL buttons on the bottom of the window, I cant them them as the bottom of the window displays below the taskbar. The windows do not allow me to resize them, and even if I select to hide the taskbar I can still only see the top edge of the buttons and cant see them at all in the largest text size(250%). I can manage at 150% DPI as I can still get at the top edge of the buttons and read the font, but the window text doesnt seem to reformat themselves to the larger text they just increase the overall size of the window and it ends up displaying partially offscreen or below the taskbar or both. I am using an nvidia 9800gt and am running at my TV's native resolution of 13xx by 768(cant remember the exact res, am not at home PC right now). Is there any way I can fix this? If not I fear I wil be forced to continue using XP and will not upgrade.

First off:
Welcome to the forum. Sometimes it takes a while for someone to respond.

Secondly:
Have you tried, from the desktop
right click
> personalize
> (on the left task panel) Display

This lets you change the size of everything on the screen.
That way you don't have to mess with custom DPI.

Maybe post a screen shot of what you have (the menus going into the task menu)
