Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could help. Windows won't load at all, I just get a bsod flash up. Same thing happens with safe mode. For some reason I can't even system restore or format/reinstall windows from my cd. (after I click install nothing happens just sits at the loading screen)

Any suggestions?

This BSOD will not let you to boot to the desktop, in either mode.

The most typical causes of a stop 0xED is a failing HDD or dome mismatch boot records. If the second one is the issue, then a clean install should be possible, which is not as you said.

Test the HDD using Seatools for DOS. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/313457-seatools-dos-windows-how-use.html ...

Take both the short test and the long test. Let us know the results.
