Windows equalizer problems

I'm using windows equalizer to adjust the sound to my liking. However, the sound seems to fade in and out at random times with the equalizer enabled. I'm not sure how to describe this problem precisely. It's not my headphones, because this only happens when windows equalizer is enabled.

Oh dear. In that case, have you tried a 3rd party Equalizer to see if the issue remains?

If the problem remains, you may try updating your sound driver.
