Basically there are three Faulting Module Name with Windows Explorer: ntdll.dll ,
CSRBthFtpShellExt.dll_unloaded , msvcrt.dll and Shell32.dll (not listed)

As for msvcrt.dll:
I first observed the problem months back in February/ March 2012 when I installed Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 from an installation CD. After rebooting from the installation I get an error message: The instruction at 0x00000000 referenced memory , when Windows shuts down..

ntdll.dll: Did not happen after a few times early in the year so not really an issue

I have been getting a few error messages for
CSRBthFtpShellExt.dll since May 2012 but through reading from the Net from Explorer Shell modules i realised that it is quite a common problem.

In short: I depend on the Windows taskbar and will not want Windows Explorer to crash too often it affects me as the notification area will be reset and i have to manually log off or restart Windows to reload Explorer.exe and open windows would be closed prior to that

Can anyone tell me if the msvcrt.dll problem is related to the OS issue so i MAY solve it by getting it a new clean reinstall? I will (try) to post some screenshot regarding the 0X000000 referenced memory.. Also i am new to BEX64.. Is there an explanation as to what BEX means? I know it is 64 bit as there is a
64

Hello and welcome to Sevenforums.

  • Having crashes upon the .explorer usually reveals problems in the Windows Context Menu. I'd suggest you to download a software called ShellExView. The idea of ShellExView is to figure out, what shell extension is causing your explorer to crash.
    • Use the software with this procedure- Disable one extension that doesn't belong to Microsoft. In many cases there are running 3rd party shell extension along Windows, and may cause the crash. If the crash persist, undo the selection, and proceed to the next non-Microsoft extension. Keep doing so, until you've found the culprit.
  • Download Malwarebytes. Malwarebytes will investigate malware and worm targets, and try to remove them. It's very handy in that manner.
    • Run a full scan of it twice or more. In many cases it won't detect malware in the first shot.
  • To ensure Windows isn't broken, we'll recommend the sfc /scannow command.
    • Here's how- Press Start | search 'cmd' | Right-click it
      | open as Admin | type SFC /SCANNOW

      SFC /scannow
  • If the steps didn't work, Create a new User Account on your system. The current user account you're using, may be broken and corrupted.

Best Regards,
Frederik.

I have downloaded ShellExView and disabled the ext. CSRbthftpshellext.dll which through research may be from the CSR software bluetooth client. I was also asked by Windows to send an error report to Microsoft so I did. I am observing whether the error may occur again. Perhaps if you know anything about this problem, you can post here, like should i reinstall Bluetooth Feature Pack? The application was already pre-installed on my computer.

Thanks and also whats is XXXXXXXXX.dll_unloaded?
