Windows Explorer has stopped working

Hi all
My computer runs fine until i try to move any data to a external device (hard drive or usb memory stick). Soon as i try to move i just get "windows explorer has stopped working" and my computer restarts.
Ive tried a few things ive seen on you tube eg scanning and safe mode but the problem persists.
Any help would be great. Thankyou

Hi Greg,
Have you tried running a chkdsk command from the command prompt? Or an SFC scan?

Hi yes ive run the scan and it doesnt find any problems. Thanks

Greg, you may want to try, if you haven't, msconfig to see if any of your drivers may need updates.
