Windows Explorer window size.

Greetings,
here I come with a very simple question. I'll also try to describe my whole issue as much as I can, here it is.

Until now, I've been using the default Windows Explorer window size, but I ran an application, one game particularly and in that game I tried to adjust the resolution settings, it was a success, however when I returned back to the Windows, I found out that it 'ruined' my Explorer default window size, now it's like 5x5 centimeters small and looks totally ridiculous.

Before I'll use my mouse and drag it to make it a little bit bigger, I wanted to ask, if there is some option - to simply restore the default size.

If I'm understanding you rightly, this is an issue that has been discussed in many places.

basically the answer is that there is no Microsoft solution. Windows 7 globalizes the last folder position used.

BUT, someone has created a third party solution that will run in the background keeping that memory like Windows ME/XP/Vista could do for itself:

Yes, I've 'googled' this ShellFix before as well, just wasn't sure, whether it was the only option. Thanks anyway. I will give it a try.

does it also remember whether you wanted the "organize" "panes" (details, preview, navigation) open or closed in a given folder, and how large you wanted them to be? the freebie fix I mentioned doesn't yet do this.

I wish it did remember the panes - that is something that WindowManger cant remember - Windows always changes ALL folders to whatever pane you select for current folder. Shame on Microsoft. Windows can remember the "view" but not the "panes".

I especially wish I could turn off the navigation pane on a folder by folder basis.

But WindowManger does really well with the size and position in Win 7 and has "special rules" so you can SET a permanent Window Size or Position for any window if you want to. And it has other window options.
