OK. I had a different hypothesis here and about an hour later found I was incorrect. So I removed the whole post to give the correct answer.:geek:

Setting Windows Live Mail to the "default email client" needs to be done through the Custom Settings. Been several days without my Reminders and I rely on them Big Time!

So if you're having the same problem in Windows 7, view this image and click all the items under Custom. Hopefully that will do the trick.

Meaning.....tick the radio buttons next to Windows Live Mail. I do both IE8 and Windows Live Mail, just to make sure. The button on the right will dim-out, that's fine. The program works great this way and if you could not use the IE8 toolbar snap-in "Send Link by Email", you will now.

Hot Damn it worked, allthough when I search for set program access mine did not look like your image, a little different way to do it but worked.

Thank you

I've made the change. It just remains to be seen now if it works.
If it does, it seems strange that "My Current eMail Program" & "Windows Live Mail" should be different, when Windows Live Mail IS my Current eMail program.

If it works, thanks. If not, thanks for trying.
