I did the download the other day but did the Custom as I didn't need to add the Family Safety thing, there's only me using this machine. I did install Messenger for the first time though, I've not bothered with that app before so thought I'd give it a go. I already use Facebook and have a Twitter account, mind you I don't use them that much but they're there when I want them.
I was already using WLM Beta and installed over the top without problems, I expect the same will have happened with Photo Gallery and Movie Maker, I've not opened them yet.
So far I'm happy and have not found any problems.

hrmm well i removed it and added it back and now it works, weird
also just noticed when you remove last name to the blank narrow character and go to add a friend it says you must enter lastname before continuing and the blank narrow character doesn't paste in the box
you can change your lastname to appear to yourself only anyway

do not download and install this. i found out the hard way that microsoft added their smartscreen in it. it is on by default and no way to turn it off that i can find.

Not everyone hates smartscreen, nor even notice it. So suggesting that no one download it is a bit over the top for something you CAN disable (see Brink's post above).
