Is there a simple way to disable Windows Live ID? I don't like it, I don't want it, but I can't get rid of it. I'm running Win 7 Pro. Thank you.

Thank you for responding. I actually tried that earlier, but there are no Windows Live programs listed under Programs & Features, unless they are under some pseudonym that I cannot decipher. I never knowingly loaded or setup Windows Live on my computer, but now it's there and I cannot operate several programs because it insists that I log in to Windows Live to continue. How can I get rid of it?

Problem Solved
I finally figured out what I had to do. I went into “User Accounts” from the “Control Panel” and clicked on “Change User Account Control Settings” and set the “slider” to “Never Notify.” Now all my programs come up without Windows Live trying to get me to log in.
