Windows Live ID

Is there a way I can completely disable Windows Live ID? I don't have a use for it and it gets in the way of what I'm trying to do. Thank you.

And log in it will ask you to close your account

I don't wish to close my Hotmail account, just the Windows Live ID thingie. Until I "upgraded" to Windows 7, I had Hotmail with no problems, but I did not have anything resembling Windows Live ID. I'm just trying to disable it, that's all. Thank you.

I dont think you could disable it, the only way of that was like burtie saied, you need to close it.
