Hi there...my email tells me I am working offline when I click the Send / Receive panel in the top toolbar. I get a window in the middle of the screen that says You are working offline.Do you want to go online ? I click Yes and it does nothing but repeat the window in a sort of a loop (dont know what else to call it ).....it takes a lot of clicking to get rid of this window. I have tried to go online by clicking the icon next to the Send/receive panel which says Go Online and the effect is the same...the same looping window. Have tried also the icon at the bottom right of the screen which says Error. Working offline and the result is the same...I'm stuck and desperate for assistance...can anyone suggest where I might try next please ? Skupe and Google are both working OK so I have a connection to the net...seems to be just the mail..
Kind regards,
Keith.

Hello flipper01 and Welcome to Seven Forums.

Check your Internet Explorer settings to make sure it is not set to "Work offline".
In IE10 you can see this setting by clicking on File in the Menu Bar.

Hope this helps,
David

Hi David...thanks for such a quick response....not sure what the E10 is and I couldnt see file on the toolbar (I guess I'm missing something here ) however the good news is that after bringing Explorer up on the screen, the mail went online again so your theory seems to have been spot on and very quickly implemented....a million thanks ! Very grateful. Kind regards, Keith.

Great, glad to hear it's working.

You do have to have the "Menu bar" enabled to see it (and the "File" option)

IE10 = Internet Explorer 10
That's the version I have, but I don't use IE often or spend much time playing with it...
Anyway, here's the screen print of what I see (with Menu Bar enabled) in case you run into this again...
