Since there is no real way to contact Microsoft or the Windows Live team with out paying at least $100 an hour, I was hoping someone here could help me....

Up until about a week ago, I was receiving emails from a forum that I run, no problem. They dropped into my inbox like they should.

A week ago, roughly, they suddenly started going into my junk box.

I have added the email address to my safe list, as a contact, allowed the contact, and marked the emails as "not junk". I have also double checked and the email is both in my contacts and in my safe list. My safety options are set to allow safe senders.

Yet, no matter how many times I do this, the emails are still sent to my junk folder.

I am using Version 2009 (Build 14.8).

Since I don't use Live Mail and thus have no answer for your problem, plus don't want to feel the wrath of your sarcasm :D I thought I would provide this link for you... Live Mail Client Issues Threads

And I agree with brady, it is a filtering issue. How to set it...??? As stated earlier, I don't use Live Mail. However, the link provided might help ;)

^^ I'm unsure how that would be handled as well. To me, it sounds like you've done everything you can do. Maybe transfer to another client to bypass the problem completely?

Sorry if I sounded snippy, I didnt mean to, this has just been driving me nuts and making me REALLY mad.

FZ21Z, thanks. Apparently its a new issue through the whole Hotmail/Windows Live system. *sigh* They're "working on it". I take that with a grain of salt any more cause of the past issues I've had with Yahoo! and their saying that (yeah, I know, different companies, but still)... oh well, here's hoping.

brady - I would switch mail users, but when I go to check my email via my MSN messenger, it automatically opens up Windows Live - and nothing else. I've also had nothing but problems with mail systems like Outlook not sending emails and having issues just working it.

What I really meant was, change your forum address to another account, like gmail or similar. This issue really seems to be out of our hands at this point.

Have you check the tab under "Tools", security options of windows live mail??? Could it be an enforced option you've made? Like it is set to High and send directly to junk box?

brady: oooh. Yeah, I dont know if that would change anything though. Its not the address thats causing it, its my account.

NoN: I do believe I said that I checked that in my original post. My safety options are set to allow safe senders only. This email address is both on the safe list and in my contacts. Its an issue with Hotmail/Windows Live's servers, or something. They're working on it, for now all I can do is deal with the annoyance. *sigh*

Okay, now you're making me confused. I thought you were talking about the forum's bot email with that last reply. But like I said previously, I check my email either through messenger (which with Windows 7 and Vista only opens Windows Live) or through the Windows Live icon on my desktop.

I can check it via hotmail.com, but from the sounds of it, the issue is with Hotmail too. The accounts are all connected.

Now that I know its a known issue and that Microsoft is working on it, I'm just going to have to deal with it for now. Now that I know, I can deal with it. Its a pain, but its workable.

I am sorry, I do not with to complicate things any further.

What I was trying to say, is that through your forum, you must input an email address that notifications are sent to, right? for example: support@whatever[dot]com.

But there shouldn't be a domain limitation put on that email address, so technically you could create an alternate email address like: whatever@gmail[dot].com and input that NEW address into your email address field. Then the notifications would be send through that account instead of your .msn or whatever you're using now.
