I reverted from Windows 10 back to 7. Every time I open mail I get a message "recovering database." Bunches of emails downloaded and when I deleted them some of them could not be deleted from the deleted box. So I did research and found that I should reconfigure my email by deleting the account and recreating it. Well, now things are a mess. I think I deleted the account even though it still is there but will not accept new email. I have never understood this live mail thing. I have a skybeam account that I use that is what I want to use. But I log into live mail with a hotmail account. I am so confused. I want to recreate my skybeam account but do not know how. Do I need to call the company for the server data? Do I use the hotmail account? I don't get it. All I know is I have important emails coming to this account I will not be able to see. Where can I read live mail online. Help please!!

When i first rollback to Windows 7 it hasn't made this annoyance. The first time in doubt i went into the "Programs & Features" and did a entire repair of the Windows Essential 2012 setup.

Only last time i did rollback (yes i did more than once!!) it had messed up the email Data saved on my computer, but it had created another folder to put all those email saved. Apart that, i still can use my account normaly Receive/Send as my account had recovered too.

I thought it was working. I have the same account duplicate in live now because deleting the first one seemed to deactivate it but would not delete it. I found the configuration settings for Skybeam and sent an email from Gmail and it worked. But when I checked my online Skybeam account just now there were messages in there that are not "Popping" to the live mail. Plus every time I open live mail it says "recovering databases" which I did not have before. It also asks me to log in every time and I did not have that before. Please don't get Windows 10 unless you are sure you want it. This is a pain.

I am still needing help. Specifically how to fix the notification that pops up every time I open Windows Live Mail now. I have researched how to fix it and have not been able to. I cannot find anything related to the problem occurring after reverting back to Windows 7 from 10. The notification is "Recovering the Windows Live Mail Database."

You can always delete all emails that won't open and in the folder the "Recovering the Windows Live Mail Database" has created, right click on each emails and save them in the folder you want them to be.

If you have over 500 emails....

Or Show hidden File & Folder

Then go in: C:\Users\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail\Storage Folder\The folder where are the saved emails.

Drag/Copy them in the folder you need.

While trying to fix my problem, I went to the folder where mail is stored. I did not do anything there. I closed Live Mail and when I open it again the extra non-working account I had is gone. The message about "recovering database is gone." So, after about 3 hours of work and research on this I think it is solved. I am not sure how it got done. No more help needed at this time.
