It's possible nobody has experience with your particular hardware configuration.

Also, I honestly can't make sense out of your post, as you never use capitalization, punctuation, sentences or paragraphs. It's all one run-on stream of consciousness, filled with abbreviations we're supposed to intuitively make sense of, as if you were texting. Texting on a forum is not generally appreciated. And quite frankly it's really not very comprehensible.

I don't know what your problem is, or what your question is. The English you write is not terribly understandable.

Try re-phrasing, editing, capitalizing where appropriate, and punctuating so that we can follow what you're asking.

Windows Media Player is not the proper app to watch TV, and tune to channels.

Windows Media Center is the correct app for watching TV.

thats what i meant media center how about you try to help instead of just correcting people
Well, if I could understand what you're writing I might be able to contribute something useful. You have not filled out your "specs" so I don't know how your machine looks, but I'm assuming the ATI 750 is an internal tuner card/chip in the Lenovo laptop? Or is it an external TV tuner, connected via USB to the laptop or what?

If you want Media Center to "change channels" on the satellite receiver, presumably there is some IR blaster involved in your setup... but again, you haven't described your setup and you don't use punctuation or capitals and I don't know how you've got Media Center configured to use the 750 or anything. Can you please describe clearly and in detail how the 750 is supposed to control the satellite receiver box which is really your outboard external tuner?

I had an internal ATI TV Wonder 650 PCI card in my desktop machine, fed from an OTA antenna. Very different than your setup since the TV tuner is in the card, and changing channels via Media Center controls the ATSC TV tuner in the internal card. Works perfectly of course.

I then added an internal ATI TV Wonder 650 PCIe card (because I thought it was dual-tuner ATSC, but in fact it was not). Worked perfectly along with the 650 PCI, both controlled by Media Center.

I then replaced both ATI TV Wonder cards with a single Hauppauge HVR-2250, which actually IS a dual-tuner ATSC card. Works perfectly, controlled by Media Center.

I also have a M-Card Ceton 4-tuner InfiniTV internal card in the machine, fed by the coax from my Time Warner cable service. Again, works perfectly for all cable channels, controlled by Media Center, along with the Hauppauge card for OTA source. No problems whatsoever with Media Center controlling all 6 internal tuners to change channels appropriately as needed.

Obviously my all-internal tuner cards are not the same setup as your 750 (internal or external??) which is somehow supposed to control the external satellite receiver for true tuning... presumably through some IR blaster. I really would like to understand your setup.

Maybe I really can't help you, because your situation is a setup I'm not at all familiar with. But was honestly trying to help.

I suspect MEDIA Center has no command access to the tuner as it in a separate piece of equipment.
All it can do is display the signal sent to it.
I have Media Center on my all in one Medion (from Aldi), which has a built in tuner and comes with its own remote, which I hardly use, preferring to go in via the touch screen or keyboard.
To change channels, I can use Keyboard page up or down, or just type the channel number on screen, or use the remote.

The only problem I get, is if I record a program using Media Center, then access the stored folder in the PC from my sony DVD player wi-fi link, via my LAN. I can play it on the TV but, only the once.

Next time I try, nothing happens, even though the folder is still there. If I go back in via Media Center, the recorded program cannot be found. I suspect something is corrupted but not sure what.

In Picklemans case, I would have thought Media Center would be smart enough to control a digital tuner in a USB port, if that is what his configuration is. Perhaps a driver update might help? Or even a re-install of Media Center with the USB digital Tuner plugged in so it can configure its interface.
