windows media player won't open

when I try to play a song with wmp it says "server execution failed". when I try to open it manually it won't open no error code or anything.thanks in advance for any help

go to control panel>programs>programs and features>turn windows features on or off, and make sure you loggeg on as adminstrator.
in feature list, find "Media Features" and disable "Windows Media Player", then restart your computer, after restaring, again go to control panel>programs>programs and features>turn windows features on or off, and make sure you loggeg on as adminstrator.
in feature list, find "Media Features" and enable "Windows Media Player". This must work
