Windows Media Player

First off, sorry if I'm in the wrong thread. I'm new here.
I'm running Win7 home prem 32bit and I seem to have a slight problem with Media Player. Sometimes when I'm playing my music, the "Skip Track" and the "Shuffle" don't work. So then I go to select rating eg 3Stars, the "Skip" and "Shuffle" will work.
Any ideas why this is happening?

Hello warinpiece and welcome to Seven Forums!

Try typing in the start menu "cmd" and then right-clicking on it and selecting "Run As Administrator". Then type (without quotes) "SFC /scannow" and pressing enter. The scan will take a while, but let us know if anything shows up.

Yeah tried that and didn't fix the problem. Could there be a registry fault?
