some background info before my current problem
when i got this laptop 2 or 3 years ago it had blue screen problems, while my warranty was good i took it into the company i bought it from. i dont think they did anything because the blue screen problems continued "memory management" they said the ram was fine etc.. so i gave up on it. Few months back i started trying to fix it again on my free time.
I think i narrowed it down to windows updates giving me trouble, they would fail every time, fail on startup trying to install every single time and failing.. then it would try to disk check.. and usually blue screen on startup.
Tried nearly everything i could find to fix it, nothing worked then i found a link here http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html
"If you have a 64-bit (x64) Windows 7 currently installed, then you must use a 64-bit Windows 7 installation disc to be able to do a repair install with."
Thought what the hell ill give it a shot. sure enough, it worked. I could install every windows update after that with very little failure. (MAJOR THANKS TO BRINK)
HOWEVER, now it keeps telling me that my copy of windows 7 is not genuine? ( i cant get into safe mode too, freezes on classpnp.sys or something, ill get to that later)
the thing i had to run for you guys here puts up a product key thats the same as my sticker. and every time i try to validate the key on the sticker it gives me that error 0xc004e003.
I may have fixed the blue screens and windows updates but i caused more trouble now.. please help.
*edit* moreover, even though windows is telling me its not genuine, it let me install ALL the updates. when it asks me to validate and brings me here http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/va...3&GenuineInfo=C004E002&ls=2&PageName=validate it says it was interrupted? my firewall is off too..
