Hey.

Try going to

Control Panel - Power Options - Make sure power Plan " Balanced " is ticked, then select "change Plan Settings"
Then click on "change advanced power settings" then click " restore Defaults for this plan " Click yes to confirm.

Try shutting down pc.

If that dosnt work. Try:

Shutting PC down. - At the moment it turns off - unplug the power cable from the PSU. With the power Cable unplugged - press the power on button 5 times - then put the power cable back in. Turn the pc on. then see if it will shut down properly.

I would advise against this because you don't know if your drive may still be active and could wreck the system.

Hey Britton30.

It could cause issues if the HDD is still Active.

You will need to see, If and how long, the system will stay off for before it reboots.

When you're sure it's off. Then try it.

do you use any external devices? like an external modem or something..
what is your mouse and keyboard? are they usb or ps2.

if they are ps2 maybe your system is set to turn on by their signal, and you should turn that off,
