any help would be greatly appreciated. it's probably something simple that im overlooking but im at my wit's end with this thing, been fighting it for weeks. any additional information needed just say the word.

also the system will freeze randomly idle or stressed, not sure if that is helpful, probably is.

Use the latest official installer provided in Step 1 to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 - steps are same for retail

I've uploaded afile - igmaa.zip - to my SkyDrive at Noel's SkyDrive

Please downloadand save it.

Right-click onthe downloaded file, and select Extract all…

Extract to thedefault location - which will create a new folder igmaain the same place.

Open this folder- there should be two folders inside it (Manifests,and Packages)



Copy the content of the Packages folder to thefolder

C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages



Andthe content of the manifestsfolder (.manifest files) into this folder:



C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests



Nowrun the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)



Postthe new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.

Ok, NoelDP, followed instructions. heres the results;

the update that is failing is KB976932 and the error code its giving off is 800B0100
CBS log folder is attached. ran fresh sfc scan also, so all the information should be current and
after the items you gave me were copied to there correct destinations

Edit* I Messed it up and see what I did wrong, will redo everything and post new results, Ignore this entire post.

I've uploaded afile - igmaa.zip - to my SkyDrive at Noel's SkyDrive

Please downloadand save it.

Right-click onthe downloaded file, and select Extract all…

Extract to thedefault location - which will create a new folder igmaain the same place.

Open this folder- there should be two folders inside it (Manifests,and Packages)



Copy the content of the Packages folder to thefolder

C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages



Andthe content of the manifestsfolder (.manifest files) into this folder:



C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests



Nowrun the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)



Postthe new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.

I've uploaded a file - igmab.zip - to my SkyDrive at Noel's SkyDrive
Please download and save it.

Right-click on the saved file and select Extract all...
Change the target to C:\ and click on Extract
Close all windows (it would be a good idea to print theseinstructions!)
Now reboot to the Repair Environment - as soon as the machine restarts, starttapping F8 - this should bring up the Advanced Boot Menu, at the top of whichshould be the option 'Repair my Computer'
Pick that
You'll have to log in with your username and password.

Pick the option to use a Command Prompt
At the prompt type
DIR C:\igmab
hit the enter key - if you get a 'NotFound' error try
DIR D:\igmab
or
DIR E:\igmab



The drive letter in use when you find the folder willneed to be substituted (for<drive>) into the followingcommand...



XCOPY<drive>:\igmab <drive>:\windows\winsxs /y /i /s /v /h



(e.g. XCOPY P:\wfire P:\windows\winsxs /y /i /s /v /h )



run the command (it should take almost no time)andwhen the prompt returns, type
EXIT
and hit the Enter key to exit CommandPrompt - reboot to Normal Mode Windows.

Now run SFC /SCANNOW in anElevated Command Prompt
then reboot and upload the new CBS.log file to your SkyDrive Public folder, andpost a new link

Also run a new MGADiag report, and post the result.
