I recently had to restore to the "out of box" HD. So my HD was like it was when it came out of the box brand new. It came with Windows 7 Home Premium. I upgraded it before I had to a restore and I was wondering if I use my Ultimate key again will it tell me that it is invalid?

Okay. Sorry for my bad grammar. I don't usually look at my typing. So I should be safe to use it again correct? I would like to make sure.

Re Activating (or re-upgrading) on the same PC is perfectly OK and within the terms of the license.
You should have not problems - but if you do, just use telephone activation, and speak to an operator. They should be able to sort out any SNAFU provided you've not activated either Key on any other computer.

If you havent changed any hardware it should be ok till after the 5th or 6th update as long as your key is for the correct version and is legitimate.

Otherwise it is a simple phone call

To activate after using Windows Anytime Upgrade is a quick, free phone call to the automated activation wizard.

Click Start and type slui.exe 4 in the Search box then press Enter to run the command.

Select your region from the drop-down list then click Next.

Dial the free telephone number and wait a few seconds for an automated reply then carry out the activation wizard's instructions - you will need a touchpad telephone for this.
