Hi everyone,

The system attempts to install the KB3033929 update, then reboot and revert changes.

I tried to follow the general instructions on Windows Update problems but none of the steps worked.

So I upload the CBS log by splitting the .zip file into three parts with the aid of HJsplit. Just rename CBS<n>.zip to CBS.zip.00<n> before joining them. I wait for your kind help :)

S.

Ok, indeed the update process is managed by administrator, BUT...

1) I asked help to IT and they told me that the process they follow is re-installing the system and the costs will be charged to my division, which isn't a good thing for me, you may understand.
2) The point 1) applies because I have been given admin rights on the machine and so all responsibilities lie with me (but I didn't use the PC outside the work and neither installed programs or browsed internet, simply for the fact that the net isn't accessible from my company's intranet!)... So I exclude categorically malware or virus, please don't bother with this :). I'm aware also of malicious macros, attachments, etc... etc... but all I receive by e-mail are zips of IAR IDE workspaces from colleagues: not so dangerous.
3) All updates go well from the time I have the machine (April 2014) until now
4) The advantage of point 2) is that I have full control of ownership and permissions over all the system

I think my company has all the needed agreement with Microsoft

group policy

I suspect in that case even thou you are the administrator there are Group policies in place to stop you.

The needs of the one are outwayed by the needs of many.
