Hi Thelma
Thanks very much for the heads up! In fact I have always had the settings you describe in place, to avoid other updates I don't want.

Enjoy the snow!

PS Love your Member logo (Beatles For Sale) and your location, one of my favourite areas, but in summer, not winter!

Yes Roy.....Was going through the 2 reports myself and saw the diiferences you highlight. Also a different version of SP1, which makes sense, as I reinstalled it.

Are you able to tell me what I did to fix this? I've mostly concentrated on getting Windows Update to work! Would it have been running slmgr.vbs /ato?

Hi Magnet,
Changing to the SSD was the root cause of the problem, MS noticed the change, and the requirement was to change thier database info which you did by running the Windows Update Agent, which then required RE-activation which you did with SLMGR.
You should NOT have anymore Genuine/update problems

Happy surfing.

If you have another problem, just post it in the appropriate sub forum..
