I could not update my Windows 7 for last month. Usually I get this error or checking for update is infinite. I did not change any of my hardware nor the router. I did not change my firewall and I use microsoft security essentials. Please reply :D

Have you EVER used Norton or McAfee products on that machine?
Try resetting the winsocks....
In an Elevated Command Prompt window, run the command

NETSH WINSOCK RESET

reboot on request, and test Windows Updates

I'm assuming that your machine is a self-build - so wouldn't have had any trial AV installed?

The error is usually caused by problems with the internet connection (I tend to get it a lot, due to using a G3 connection rather than a landline) - which is why I suggested the winsock reset.

What sort of a network are you on? What sort of internet connection? Are other machines on the network having any similar problems?
What other programs that access teh internet are you using when you try and check for updates?

See the following - Windows Update error 80072ee2

On the same router are connected 5-6 home computers which also have Windows 7. They do not have any problems with updates except my computer.
My connection is ADSL, via Pirelli router.
I tried checking for updates while not using any programs. It is the same. When I check for updates I usually use Google Chrome, and I did not have any problems before.

...so the problem is definitely in the computer :)

You say you check for updates using Google Chrome?? - that's not possible, ever.

You check for updates manually, by either using the Windows Updates shortcut in the All Programs listing, or clicking on the Start button, and entering Windows Updates into the Search box - then use the link in the Windows Updates panel.

Please check your system for malware using Malwarebytes Anti-malware free edition ( www.malwarebytes.org) - it finds things that MSE ignores. WHen you install it, update it, but do NOT enable the Real-Time Protection.
Run a Full System Scan in your main account, and Quick scans in all other accounts.

You found it wrong. I did not say that I check for updates using Google Chrome. I said that when I check for updates regularly in background, I surf on Internet on Google Chrome. Now I am scanning my computer with software you gave me. So far no infections :)

OK - at least we can be reasonably certain that there's no malware present (notice the 'reasonably'??)

Have you followed the advice in Windows Update error 80072ee2 ?

I use Windows firewall.
Windows Firewall ships with this version of Windows and should already include these sites in the exceptions list.

Suggestion 1: Disable firewalls or other Internet browser programs that can affect the Internet connection
=======================================================================
The following programs can affect the connection to the Windows Update site and I suggest we remove or disable them:

Download Accelerator
GetRight
Browser Blaster

BitTorrent
eMule

Sygate Personal Firewall
Norton Internet Security
Freedom Firewall
Zone Alarm Firewall

If you have any other similar programs such as a pop-up blocker, please also temporarily remove or disable it to test the issue.

I found this on the Microsoft Social tech net. It may help.

Yes - but your HOSTS file may not, and other things can also change access ability
