Solved Windows Update error code 80072EE2

I didn't download the windows 10 updates. I made sure to ignore them. I changed the updates from "check for updates but let me choose whether to install them" to "never" and back again like you suggested. Nothing worked.

Have you got a restore point prior to 11 november if so give that a shot and see what happens.

No, I don't. I only just downloaded the updates last Friday. Using it didn't fix the problem.

I'm wondering if this is a router issue. I just unplugged my router and plugged it back in. As soon as it came back on, I checked for updates and it worked. However, it only worked for a few minutes then it gave me the same error code again after another search.

Okay, I just discovered this is a problem with my router. Plugging the internet straight into my computer fixes everything. It is blocked with my router for some reason, yet there is no reason why it should be as I don't have anything in the settings making it block windows update.
