Solved Windows Update Error code 800B0100

I'm not sure exactly when my Windows update stopped working, but the last update to install was Windows Defender KB915597 on 7/29/2014. I ran CheckSUR and attached is my log file. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Above is the error I get when checking for updates. I had to exclude older CbsPersist cab files because at best compression in a rar file, it was running in at 9.88mb so only the latest CbsPersist cab is in the zip.

This is caused by a complex error in hardlinks - and the only known cure so far is a repair install :(
