Hi I'm running windows 7 Ultimate x64 bit OS and I installed this as an OEM product that I got from eBay. When I first installed the Windows back in March of this year, I could download and install all updates. But since then I can't download and/or install any updates which keeps me worried about my computer's overall condition that might get BSODs and other errors. I ran sfc scan and found no problems. I ran the windows update readiness tool, but it didn't install that update either!! I don't get any errors but I can send you the CBS logs that has text file because the other zipped files are very large files (around 12 MB each) that I can't upload in here. So I attached the CBS text file at the bottom. Please tell me how to fix this problem or connect me with remote network connection if you can so I can resolve this issue as it's very important that my computer can download and install updates, thank you.

Hi:

Yep, the previous suggestion will probably resolve the issue.

The 3 key patches for a new Win7 install are:
3125574
3020369
3172605
Getting those installed manually should resolve the WU issue (at least it has for many, many other users.
(You may have to first temporarily stop the WU service, turn off Windows Updates and reboot the computer in order to install those 3 patches. Then re-enable everything and do a manual update check after they are installed...)

However, you wrote:

That is worrisome. ebay is NOT a reliable source for legal Windows licenses -- many/most/all? are pirated, despite convincing looking packaging and marketing materials.
Have you been able to properly activate Windows?
If so, when did you activate it (how long has it been)?

To be sure you were not scammed, you might want to read the pinned topic HERE:

Then, please post back with the requested log file, so that someone can take a look.

Just a thought,
MM

Yes I installed Windows 7 and Windows 10 with dual booting drive for Windows 7 as drive G Windows 10 as drive D and another old drive as it was pre installed in my computer as Windows 7 in drive C. I like Windows 7 that's why I kept the two old partitions drives for Windows 7 because it's both simple and convenient operating system that I think it's better than Windows Viata and Windows 10. So that's why it automatically made a partition G as this new partition that this new Windows 10 was installed on.
