Solved Windows Updates fail, Errors 8004402F and 800F0826

Sigh, again sand in the engine on another machine. The recent batch of updates fail to install, probably because of one single update.
The culprit is probably

Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2952664)
Installation date: ‎17.‎07.‎2015 08:34
Installation status: Failed
Error details: Code 8004402F

Ok, seems like I fixed it. Steps:

1. Installed all the other updates except the offending one sucessfully
2. Ran sfc/ scannow
3. Ran the Windows Update fixer tool
4. Ran the offending update again, it installed successfully without rebooting.
