Windows updates...location

Hello guys...infact my C drive is just fulll so i want to know

can i delete the downloaded updates from C: drive..because after installation they are no more required or i will keep them in other drive....

where is the location for that...??

by the way my lptop just restarted and i got 3 gb free space. and then after a day my Btooth was not working so i reinstalled and restarted and then free space was reduced to 1 Gb.....any suggesstion for that.....

Go to c drive and do a disc cleanup. ie c drive properties.

While you are at it do a check disc for errors. C drive> properties> tools

well actually it did not worked...the free space increased from 1.12 to 1.15..

anyother possibilty.....

my question was if we can delete windows updates bcoz they are installed and are no more needed to install again.../???

Downloaded updates are stored in C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution folder.In my opinion disk cleanup don't clear this folder.Of course you can manually clear this folder

well software distribution has got 40 mb files...while there is another folder

winsxs

it has some 3 gb files.....

dont know wt to do ???

Don't touch WinSxS !Otherwise nothing will work in the system
The Secret Of Windows 7 / Vista Winsxs Folder.
Ask the Core Team : What is the WINSXS directory in Windows 2008 and Windows Vista and why is it so large?
