Windows XP Mode for Windows 7 and VHD

i am some what confused as to why i would use Windows XP Mode for Windows 7 and VHD. could someone please explain the pros an cons on using Windows XP Mode for Windows 7 and why i would possibly need it

That's easy! You use it when you need to run an old program that doesn't work correctly in Windows 7. The cons are that it takes up at least 2GB of space.

well i have 2 gig to spare is it worth installing it ?

I personally don't use it very often, but it depends on your needs and the programs you use. Some would even say that it has the sandbox benefit in that you can do whatever you want on the virtual machine w/o the worry of messing up your host machine, but I haven't really used it.

Basically, it's only worth it if you need to run old programs that won't work in 7.
