I loaded BCB5 on a new Windows7 64 bit box. No errors during the installation. After rebooting, I get a message when I run BCB5. The message says that it cannot copy c:\program files (x86)\borland\cbuilder5\bin\bcb.??? to c:\program files (x86)\borland\cbuilder5\bin\bcb.dro.

Looking in that directory, I see a bcb.dro file there.

Anyone know what this message means and what to do about it?

Solved this problem

I added a utility to my system which means you can "Take Ownership" of files or folders. The utility seems to be here now although I forgot exactly where I got it.

How To: Take Ownership Of A Folder/File In Windows 7

Once installed all I did was to use the right click "Take Ownership" on the main CBuilder folder in "Program Files". Then it runs correctly.

I added a hard disc drive to my PC wil lots of data from an old XP machine. I could see all the files but could not open them without jumping through admin hoops. Using this utility on the whole drive gave me full unrestricted access.

I hope it works for you.
