Windows7 crashes ALL the time -- Pls Help!

Hi there,

I am running windows 7 RC with gigabyte E7AUM-DS2H, I experienced windows crash all the time after I install windows 7, I noticed that it always crashed when I plug 3 or 4 usb devices. It will automaticly shut down when starting up the windows. I plugin the power cable separately and that did help. But it still crashes couples times ( 4+ times a day) and here is the error message:
The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.
I looked at some online reference and somebody suggested to increase voltage or disable the IT helper service. I tried both but still getting the same crash. Any suggestions?

Please locate the memory dump files at C:\Windows\Minidumps (it may be hidden), zip them up and attach them to your next post. We'll have a look at them and see if there are any answers there.

In the meantime, it seems that this is an issue with either the USB drivers, one of the USB devices, or with the power that's being supplied to the USB ports.

How many USB ports are available on your system? Do you also use an external USB hub? If so, is it powered (plugs into the wall) and how many ports does it have?

I did not find the minidumps folder in windows, I looked at the startup and recovery settings, it is set to kernel memory dump, I switched it back to smal memory dump 128KB and waiting for next failure (hope it's not while im writing it now)
I was thinking of the USB devices too, I used to have 500gb external hard drive, logitech webcam, wireless keyboard and mouse and another trackball while im working on TV. Now I have only the keyboard and mouse plugin and still getting this issue.
btw, I have the 450w power supply comes with the case, I think that should be enough?

With a kernel memory dump there should be a file named "Memory.dmp" in the C:\Windows directory. It'll be too large to upload, so follow the directions in this post to perform an analysis - then copy and paste the results to your next post: Diagnosing Bsod's (originally posted 02Oct08) - Vox

Thanks for all the help! I guess I found out the reason.

I got more frequent crash these days that happened every 10 minutes after boot. Finally I received an error message when booting the windows:
Main BIOS Checksum error:
Recovering....
After rebooting it will loop this error message couple times.
I decided to update my BIOS which it did help, so far it has been running for quite a while without crash.

(although it causing other problems like my HDMI TV always says No Signal while it is showing up in the display mode)
