Hey guys,
I just got a new laptop, and its been running perfectly for a week or so but the last couple days, whenever i start it up it has a little error that pops up (i've included a screenshot below) saying that " There was a problem starting winjyn32.rom. The specified module could not be found."

I've tried looking everywhere with no results as to what that means, can anyone point me in the right direction?

A thing i noticed was I normally have an Aero7 theme for my computer, but since that error started popping up, I would load into windows with just a normal background, and I would have to manually change it back to a theme.

Thanks in advance guys

Thomas

Are you sure you spelled that process correctly? I can only find references to this post through a google search and I cannot read the text in your picture.

Regardless...

Run a malware scan: Malwarebytes
Run a system file check: Start > "cmd" > Right click, Run as Admin > sfc / scannow

If all else fails, run through the system recovery options:

Best processes: System Restore, Repair Install.

I did a virus scan with Comodo and it identified winjyn.rom as a trojan backdoor associated with some store web pages (from Staples Stationary store) in the Windows.old directory of my previous Windows 7 Beta installation. It was a part of the old IE cache directories. I'm currently running the retail version of Windows 7, hence the Windows.old directory.

Other than adding to your confusion, I haven't any clue what your error message is about. My winjyn.rom file was associated with Staple's online store. So perhaps a thorough virus scan might rid you of that error message.
