Wiping Out Everything on Dell XPS 8100 Desktop

But do you know how that happened though? The thing is i havent used the dell xps 8100 since the last time you helped me with the reinstallation till today so im close to postiive what i downloading earlier could have caused this.

Also i tried to download the panda cloud cleaner rescue usb drive on the xps 8100. It shows an error and i cannot do it.

I didn't suggest you run the Panda bootable scan although you can do that to get a deeper scan. I don't know why it won't download. Google the exact error text to find out how others have resolved it.

If the scans found malware or spyware other than tracking cookies then you might have been infected. What matters is if it finds anything now other than cookies. I wouldn't worry about it if it doesn't.

hey greg so i decided to just do a clean install of it one more time.

I had the files necessary on my 2.0 usb. I did it but once i did everything, i didnt see a screen where it ask me about my internet network such as the network for home office or public wifi option. I usally see this message evertime when done finishing the installation.

I then noticed that i couldnt get online either. Shows no wired connection. I then opened the dell xps 8100 driver that is in my 2.0 usb, the one you said to save to in case it doesnt load the driver... it opens it up... but i dont know where it is. I looked everywhere.

Okay got it to work. The file was in drivers and i installed it and now the internet works.

However theres a few things that still has me confused/worried.

Also how come it shows my computer all of them connected such as myname1-pc, myname-asus,
myname-pc and Myshare?

Also When i clicked on my network, there is this thing called Jungo OpenRG Internet Gateway Device. What is that?

I dont believe i ever seen this before.

Also... my asus laptop that you helped me with the installing...im getting tons of ads and these ads are just popping up when im just opening chrome or going to google.com. Is there a reason for this? I didnt visit any sites that should have any popups since when you helped me with the asus laptop. I mean.. im opening chrome and just typing yahoo or google then i get a popup where it downloads something for me... then my panda antivirus detected it as a threat and say its a TROJAN. How in the world does this happen when i didnt visit any malicioius websites?

Also i had to put my 2.0usb into the asus laptop b/c i put some other drivers in there in case the one drive i have didnt work. Could that have caused this trojan? Yesterday when my usb 2.0 was in my xps 8100 while i think i could have gotten a virus downloading something to my xps 8100... i then formatted my usb first. Then downloaded the dell iso windows and the driver for 8100 then put it into my xps 8100 earlier.

Sounds like you can't stop getting infected.

Are you actually learning anything when you have to install the wireless driver every time as though you' ve never done it before, and I need to write out for you the steps to avoid and get rid of infection over a dozen times?

All of this is spelled out in the Reinstall tutorial below and repeatedly throughout your threads. If you can't remember them then you'll need to go find the steps yourself because I cannot afford to waste more hours repeating everything for you. Maybe someone else will.

Hey greg. As for the asus laptop... i didn't even used the laptop much at all after you hellped me with reinstalling it. All i did was go to regular websites such as yahoo, google etc and not one site that could be malicrious. Then i have popups from sites that i have no idea where it comes from.

I just went and took at my hard drive on my asus laptop. I have no idea how i already used up 50gb already. All i have installed are the basic programs such as the ones on ninite. Of course you downloaded a lot of those programs for the drivers last time... however... i dont understand how i already have 50gb used in my asus laptop. The dell xps 8100 shows 25gb used total after i did the clean reinstall.

Again i didnt click on any link or go into any bad sites that could have a virus on my asus laptop. I dont know how this is happening as i never even downloaded any program whatsoever since that time you helped me with my asus laptop. The only thing that i think could be the reason is b/c i used the 2.0 usb from the xps 8100 and plugged it into the asus laptop... however, i dont know how i used up 50gb already. Im pretty positive i didnt see that much gb used up in my hard drive after you helped me with the reinstall on the asus.

Have you run the scans, checked for anything added to Browser add-on's - all the things I've had to repeat over and over?

Yes i did. I scanned it with panda, malwarebytes, avast, superantispyware, adwcleaner... i did it 2 times each just to make sure.

I didnt even use the asus laptop much after that day you did the installation of the windows updates etc. And then suddenly chrome it had these popups etc.

What is listed in Chrome browswer Extensions?

What kind of ads? You mean on a webpage or popups? Where do the popups appear from on the screen? Can we see a pic? The Snipping tool can capture the screen for you to save, attach using paper clip in reply box.

Google docs and java for web pages are the chrome extensions.

These are popups that are full size like a regular web page. Its basically ads like dating meeting women. I have zero idea how these popups came up as i didnt even use any sites besides google and yahoo.

Also not sure 100 percent of not but there was those livecam pages as well which i dont know how its possible as the only sites i visited on that asus laptop is google and yahoo and few other main sites.

Run a full scan with SuperAntiSpyware again. If it doesn't find anything, then you're clean.

Make sure the Pop Up Blocker is enabled in Chrome settings.
