Hey everyone. This is my first time venturing for assistance. Typically I can fix things on my own but at this point I am stumped.
I recently got a new router(Asus RT-ac3200), and upon setting it up my desktop pc no longer can connect to the internet. My wireless adapter is the TP Link TL-WDN4800. I got the new router because a roommate of mine moved out and our previous router was his. So, I needed to replace it. He had the Asus RT-ac87u. This adapter had no issues while using that router but is acting up now.
Phones, video game systems, and my laptop all work just fine with the new router. So, I am rather certain the issues lies with my tower.
At this point I have installed the latest firmware for the router, reinstalled the adapter, and attempted to update the drivers on the adapter. However, every time I try to install the drivers it either says that the most up to date drivers are already installed, or it claims that they were installed successfully but the driver date and version number doesn't update when I check properties in device manager.
If anyone has any insight for me I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks
