Atheros AR5007 b/g WiFi Adapter
HP Pavilion dv5
Windows 7 upgraded from vista

Ive had this problem before but it was crashing due to my antivirus which I have since gotten rid of.

It doesnt detect any networks or connection.

if you go to network and sharing center and clik on change adapter settings, do you see the wireless? If so try clik on it then disable and then enable.

Just noticed something new in the device manager though.
Microsoft Virtual wifi mini port adapter. ????
Its in between my wireless card and my ethernet port in the network devices category.

Go to control Panel/Devices and Printers, right click the offending adapter and run the trouble shooter on it.
