Wireless issues.

Under the wireless icon, it showed a signal strength of 5/5 bars.

But when I tried to access the internet, Firefox gave this response - Couldnt find the server of XXX website. Tried both chrome and IE and with similar results =/

Any help will be appreciated

The signal strength only shows the connection between router and PC.
If the router is offline, so are you.
Enter the router menu and try to find an option that shows your IP address and further says whether it's a static or dynamic one.

One way to test this issue is to do a simple ping. This will at least verify that you can get a connection out.

Open up command prompt (you can type command prompt in the search bar in the start menu)

Once opened type

ping google.com

If you get a reply you should be good. (Sample Output)

However if you get Request Time-Outs, or Destination Host Unreachable then we have an issue.

Microsoft ISATAP is a IPv6 related component. The driver for ISTAP can be reinstalled via Device Manager - Action – Add legacy hardware.


However, if the problem persists after reinstalling the driver, you may need to refer to the following KB article:


(KB932520) On a Windows Vista-based computer, the Microsoft ISATAP adapter appears with a yellow exclamation mark next to it in Device Manager, and you also receive an error message

Hmm it happens randomly. Sometimes in the night, sometimes in the day. .
