When I attach a file of any type (.pdf, doc, jpg,…) to an email using Windows Live Mail 2011, my PC start freezing and loops for 5 to 10. However, if I copy a file and paste it in the email text windows, the icon of the file is created as usual. The PC does not freeze and the posting of the email ok.
If I use gmail or windows Live Hotmail 2011 I have no problem to attach and send email on the same PC, a Dell XPS L501x with 4096MB (2x2048) 1333MHz DDR3 Dual Channel, French Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium (64 BIT).
When I got this new PC in February 2011, WLM was working OK. Besides the standard updates, I do not see a major software modification. The hardware is still performing like at the 1rst day and I have no others problems to report.
Of course, I have reinstall WLM 2011 but no improvement.
Any guess ? Tks in advance / Pat
