I have been running Win 7 MCE since the beginning of the year using an HD Homerun ( OTA ) as the TV source. A few days ago I installed a Ceton InfiniTV 4 with a TWC cable card. There is a Cisco STA1520 tuning adapter in line which TWC tells me I need. The tuning adapter is connected to the PC itself with a USB cable as well as having the RF pass through it. I can watch TV fine but have one really annoying issue.
What I've noticed since switching to the Ceton is that when I go to watch TV after the PC has been asleep MCE will wake in 640 x 480 as opposed to 1080p. The fix is to close WMC, the regular PC desktop will be in 1080p, and then restart WMC, which comes back in 1080p. I never had this issue before. I don't leave the channels playing, in other words I stop watching TV before I turn off my receiver and TV. The hdmi output of the PC feeds a receiver.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
