Is anyone using WMP and it's EQ? After sorting out my speaker buzz issue, now I find that the equalizer randomly stops working. Sometimes stopping and starting the song brings it back, sometimes switching songs does, sometimes I have to close and restart WMP. Disabling and re-enabling the EQ does nothing.

The EQ from WMP11-Vista is a mess. Sadly it is the same when it comes to 7. When you turn the bass too high, the sound gets compressed and the volume gets severely reduced at the same time to avoid distortion. This does not happen on Windows XP... It is just an issue. Microsoft should drop the sound compression/speaker protection completely. Some speakers are quite capable of handling high levels of bass at high volumes without much distortion.
