Hi All,
My Win7 TV-Audio tower failed to start Saturday, after using it Friday evening.
The post beeps through, but then everything stops at the BIOS entry page, and BIOS will not load with Del key.
Am I to assume that my BIOS has failed? I did notice Friday evening that the drive activity led was orange most of the time when I was playing youtube clips of music????
System repair disk will not boot either.

Is the optical drive on the same controller as the HD? Perhaps there's a loose connection or controller hw issue.

Milesahead. I did find the top optical drive ide/sata controller a bit not level and straightened it, plus reduced load stress on the data cable?
I will try to boot it up again tonight.

Solved

Thanx Milesahead,

That was the issue - the ide/sata converter was a touch out from its seating in the optical drive. The tower boots up fine now.

cheers, :)
